About the Author
Derick Workman has 6 years experience in process consulting and custom implementation of product and portfolio management best-practices and technology. Currently at Ryma he is responsible for product management consulting, portfolio management consulting, demonstrating and implementing the FeaturePlan & IdeaScope products, conducting process gap analyses, defining success metrics (KPIs), creating Adaptive Product Management (APM) processes and methods, and developing custom solutions.
Previously Derick worked at Telelogic as a product specialist, supporting their product/portfolio management software application “Focal Point” by providing custom product/portfolio management solutions. Derick has worked with companies using Balanced Scorecards and SixSigma Business Scorecards to measure and improve strategy execution. He also has worked with software design, requirements management and documentation, and cost estimation applications in order to provide overall support for the innovation value chain. Derick has received Pragmatic Marketing, Progressive Elaboration, StageGate, APM Implementation and PDMA certification training.
